The mixture is stirred at this temperature for a further 30 minutes. The mixture is then cooled to -78C, and 3.15 ml (23.2 mmol) of phenyldichlorophosphine are added dropwise at a sufficiently slow rate that the temperature does not rise above -600C. After stirring at -78C for a further 10 minutes, the temperature is allowed to rise to room temperature, and the mixture is stirred for another hour. A suspension of the monochlorophosphine X1 is thus obtained., 1293-65-8
