After completion of the reaction as monitored byTLC, the reaction mixture was filtered to remove insoluble SILP catalyst.Evaporation of solvent in vacuuo followed by column chromatography over silicagel using petroleum ether/ethyl acetate (95:5 v/v) afforded pure aldehydes.
